- Master of Arts in Music at Cardiff University is a 1-year program.
- It is an on-campus program offered on a full-time basis.
- This program is an opportunity to develop a specialism in performance, composition, or music studies.
- Students have to successfully complete a total of 180 credits.
- The program is consists of 3 pathways in which students have to choose one:
- Performance
- Composition
- Music Studies
- Modules taken vary according to the area of study chosen. All include basic music training via Research Skills and two core modules that are taken in the Autumn term.
- The modules are Disciplining Music (Music Studies pathway) and Music Leadership and Public Engagement (Performance and Composition pathways).
- The teaching is delivered by internationally-recognized experts in Performance, Composition, and Music Studies.
- Students have to attend regular workshops, seminars, and masterclasses given by visiting composers, musicologists, and performers.
- The teaching of academic modules is delivered primarily through seminars and small-group tutorials.
- Cardiff University is one of the UK's liveliest musical capitals, with a national opera company, and several professional orchestras and choirs.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Applicants will have a first or upper second class Honours degree, or equivalent in a relevant related subject area, such as Music.
- Students must be qualified in IELTS, TOEFL, and PTE to get admission in this program.
Indian Student Eligibility:
- Students will need successful completion of a relevant bachelor's degree from a recognized institution, with grades of approximately 55%-60% to qualify for the postgraduate courses.
- Some schools will also require the successful completion of a relevant master's program from a recognized institution.
- The Indian Standard XII English qualification from the following examination boards are accepted with a minimum score of 70%:
