- The Dental School at Queen's has been responsible for delivering dental education in Northern Ireland since 1920. In the National Student Survey, where their final year students have an opportunity to give anonymous feedback on the completion of their 5-year course, the Bachelor of Dental Surgery degree at Queen’s University is consistently highly rated.
- Students will have the opportunity to undertake clinical placements from year 1 of the course. During their course, students will gain experience in a range of clinical settings to help develop their skills and career opportunities.
- Students who successfully complete the BDS program can apply for full registration with the GDC which allows the registrant to practice as a dentist in the UK if the student fulfills the UK government’s residency requirements.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- AAA at A-level including Biology/Human Biology and Chemistry. GCSE Mathematics minimum grade C/4 is required if not offered at AS-level or A-level.
- For A-level School Leavers a maximum of one Applied A-level will be counted.
- Note that only one Mathematics subject will be counted at A-level. A-level Critical Thinking and both A-level and AS-level General Studies are not acceptable.
Indian students eligibility:
Applicants must have the following qualifications to be eligible for direct admission:
- Three A levels
- Between 30 and 36 points in the International Baccalaureate Diploma (IB).
- The Standard Indian XII (10+2) examinations from CBSE, CISCE or State Boards of Higher Secondary Education are acceptable for admission to their Bachelor's degree programmes.
An average mark of 70 - 85% or higher (best of 5 academic subjects) in the Standard Indian XII Higher Secondary School certificates awarded by the central boards (CBSE, CISCE) or a state board, or equivalent, with 75% or higher where subject requirements are stipulated (comparable with Grade B at A-Level).
Applicants will normally need to demonstrate a level of English equivalent to 6.5 IELTS or 90 TOEFL IBT (Internet-based test). However, some degree programmes have higher or lower requirements.
