Work-based learning is a key element of the final year of study, to enable students to apply their knowledge in real-world settings and to gain value experience to use as a foundation for future employment.

The BSc (Hons) Sport Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Massage at Cardiff Metropolitan University is also approved by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) as part of the Education Recognition Program and also an approved school with the Sports Massage Association (SMA). This enables students to gain an SMA accredited L4 qualification in Sport Massage and Soft Tissue practices through completion of the appropriate modules.
The course utilises a range of learning and teaching strategies to provide students with a holistic experience that also reflects the nature of the role they would hope to secure after graduation. You will experience theory lectures as a cohort in a lecture theatre, but also have opportunity to engage in small group seminars with staff to address specific subjects and discuss your personal development needs. The course includes a large practical aspect, whereby you will be afforded the opportunity to develop the practical skills required of being a Strength and Conditioning, Rehabilitation and Sport Massage practitioner.
