Linnaeus University Campus

  • Linnaeus University has two main campuses. They are located in the city of Växjö, and of Kalmar.
  • The campuses are renowned for their natural beauty. Växjö has the title of ‘the greenest city in Europe’, due to the amount of area covered by forests and lakes. Whereas, Kalmar is at the shore of the Baltic Sea and has a distinctive old city ambiance.
  • The library at the university is the first one to be LGBTQ certified in Sweden, highlighting the belief of the institution in the promotion of equal rights for everyone along with quality education.
  • Currently, there are over 70 student organizations that are active on the campus. These organizations are based on all the possible activities, such as dance, drama, sports, debate, philosophical, opera, etc.
  • The Student Union of the institution is the first official student body in Sweden to be LGBTQ certified. They ensure that there is equal representation from all the sections and also conduct sensitization workshops on various other important issues.
