Lund University Global Scholarship is a merit-based program that offers financial aid to high achieving academic students who wish to study in Sweden at Lund University. The scholarship applies to international students outside the European Union member countries.

The scholarship applies to UG and PG programs offered by Lund University.
Preference is given to the candidates who select a program at Lund University as their first choice.
The scholarship covers the cost of the tuition fees of the intended program of study.
The award amount may range from 25% to 100% of the total tuition fee of the program.

Students can apply online for the scholarship using an online portal after they have applied for a course at Lund University. There is no fixed number of scholarships awarded in an academic year.

The deadline for this year has expired. The new deadline will be in February 2024 which is yet to be announced.

Eligibility Criteria

Prospective applicants must meet admission requirements at Lund University to be eligible for the Lund University Global Scholarship. In addition to that, they must fulfill the eligibility requirements listed below:

Applicants from all countries except EU or EEA (or Switzerland) citizens are eligible.
Students must commence study in any PG or UG program offered by Lund University.
Preference will be given to applicants who have been selected at Lund University as their first choice.

Terms and Conditions Regarding Lund University Global Scholarship

If the applicant has not selected a program at Lund University as their first choice on the national online admission portal.
If the applicant is unable to demonstrate sufficient funds to cover the living costs, as determined by the Swedish Migration Agency.

Application Process

External application forms must be submitted online at the university website. Students are required to submit the completed application along with a motivation letter.

Motivation letter (approx 600 words) should state why your academic performance and reasons for applying to Lund University make you suitable for the Scholarship.

Note: Applications once submitted can be check and reviewed by the applicants. Necessary changes can be made and submit the new version of the application.

Selection Process

While selecting recipients of the Lund University Global Scholarship, the selection committee will evaluate applications on a case by case basis. Recipients will be selected based on the following criteria:

Academic Brilliance of the student
Motivation Letter
Demonstrate Strong Commitment
Any personal achievements of the student

Selected students will be contacted directly by Lund University after the official admission results for studies have been published at www.universityadmissions.se.
