College rules and campus life details vary by institution but typically cover attendance, conduct, dress code, and hostel regulations.

Common regulations:

  • Attendance Policy: 75% minimum required for semester exam eligibility across most colleges.
  • Dress Code: Ranges from formal wear to casual; medical colleges often require white coats.
  • Hostel Timings: Entry deadlines, visitor policies, and weekend permissions vary.
  • Academic Conduct: Strict anti-plagiarism and anti-cheating policies with penalties.
  • Campus Facilities: Mess menus, gym timings, and library hours follow set schedules.

Refer to the official student handbook or visit the college website. Orientation sessions provide detailed explanations of all rules.

There is no such dress code at Amity University. Students usually wear casuals. Boys can wear casual shirts or collared t-shirts, jeans and shoes. Girls also wear casual shirts or t-shirts and jeans. Having a pair of formals will be better for conferences or other college events.

Also, some schools under Amity University require students to wear formal clothes, for example, business students need to wear formal on all working days. It can be either formal or western.

No, there isn’t any dress code at Amity University. You are allowed to wear civilian clothes and there are no restrictions. However, there are a few situations wherein you are supposed to dress formally. Check the following points to understand the same -

  • You must have at least one decent formal shirt and trousers to wear during presentations while attending conferences or any formal college occasion.
  • For courses like B. Tech, BSc, MSc, Biotech, etc., there is no uniform required.
  • For MBA students, you need to wear formal clothes.
  • For law students, it’s black and white formals and the BHM department has a uniform.

It also depends upon your institute. One of my friends belonged to Amity College of Commerce and Finance (ACCF). He was required to wear formals on Monday only in 1st year. From 2nd year onwards, there were no such obligations.

In Amity University Gwalior, you will be strictly asked to avoid clothes that will expose your body. You will be required to wear decent clothes and dress appropriately.
