MK
Manshi Kunwar Posted On : September 15th, 2020
Studied at Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University, Pune

Both MIT as well as IMED are well-established institutes when it comes to provided quality MCA courses. However, it is essential to consider placements, faculty as well as fee structure when it comes to deciding where to take admission. Some important comparisons between a few points have been made below:

Eligibility:

MIT, Pune:

  • Applicants must have a minimum of 50% aggregate in their graduate programs. This score comes down to 45% for reserve category students.
  • Further, applicants must also obtain a valid score in MHCET for admission.

IMED, Pune:

  • Students must complete a 3 years bachelor’s degree in computer science engineering or equivalent or have mathematics at the 10+2 level to be eligible.
  • Students qualify for admission on the basis of the score obtained after appearing for the B-MAT exam held by the institute.

Fees: Fee structures for two years of MCA at the two institutes have been mentioned below:

MCA MIT, Pune, Two-year fees

MCA IMED, Pune, Two-year fees

INR 3,20,000

INR 2,66,700

Placements:

MIT Pune:

  • The university has about 92 companies recruiting students every year on campus.
  • The highest package offered to students caps in at INR 13.25 lakhs per annum whereas the average package is of about INR 6 lakhs per annum.
  • Some of the top recruiters visiting the instate include Microsoft, Honeywell, Wipro, Sunguard, Cognizant, and others.

IMED Pune:

  • The university has a dedicated placement cell aiding the placements of students as well as offering certificate courses in order to increase job opportunities.
  • More than 150+ different companies visit the campus every year and recruit students annually.
  • The highest international package offered to students caps at INR 53 lakhs per annum whereas the domestic package clocks in at INR 7 lakhs per annum.
  • Most students have an average salary of INR 3 lakhs per annum. Some of the top recruiters at the institute are Wipro, Godrej, TCS, Kotak Mahindra, and ITC.

Fee wise IMED Pune does charge less as compared to MIT. However, placement wise, IMED outshines MIT with a well-established placement cell. Students who are looking to get placed immediately after completing the degree should consider going to IMED.

Which is better for a B.Tech, MIT World Peace University, Pune or NMIMS Mumbai?

AD
Aditi Deshpande Posted On : May 19th, 2023
Lives in Pune,Maharashtra

I can answer this question based on two factors:

  1. Experience and reputation: MIT Pune has been around for 44 years and has a long-standing reputation for excellence in engineering. On the other hand, NMIMS Mumbai is a relatively new institute, and its reputation is more focused on commerce and management studies.
  2. Perception and recognition: MIT Pune is more widely recognized and respected than NMIMS Mumbai, particularly in the field of engineering. This can be attributed to the institute's long-standing reputation and its alumni network.

My personal recommendation is MIT Pune over NMIMS Mumbai for B.Tech studies.

Both colleges are excellent if we talk about MBA, and they both give tough competition to each other. If you want a good lifestyle and overall personality improvement along with a decent placement, you should go with PUMBA. But if you are looking for good placements, then you can opt for MIT Pune, which offers an average placement of 7.25 LPA.

One of a student also bagged the highest package of 44.14 LPA. PUMBA, on the other hand, offered an average package of 6.74 LPA in the recent year, and the highest salary offered here was 13.55 lac which is much lower than MIT.
