New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the School of Business of Woxsen University has secured Level 5 in Positive Impact Rating (PIR) 2024. The university has received this achievement in the third consecutive year with this commitment to making a positive impact in the world.

As per Woxen University, “The university’s steadfast dedication to ethics, responsibility, and sustainability, alongside its innovative educational approach, has solidified its status as a premier business school in India. The institution is committed to preparing students as global change-makers for the 21st century”.

The university has taken the initiative to include all 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in its core activities through practical implementation and community involvement. This step is taken as a part of the university’s aim to contribute to the betterment of society.

Positive Impact Initiatives Taken by Woxsen University

Woxsen University has taken over 85 positive impact initiatives in 2023, which benefited 6,500 individuals across 14 rural communities and 20 schools in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Some of the key initiatives taken by the university are as follows:

TRY (Transforming Rural Youth) initiative focuses on empowering rural youth through entrepreneurship, awareness programs, and opportunities for sustainable income. This initiative secured 2nd place in the PRME Global Forum’s South & Central Asia PRME Global Sustainability Awards.

EmpowerIT is a six-month IT training and mentorship program which is conducted for students who wish to gain knowledge in Database Management Systems (DBMS), personality development, and professional networking. Participants who secure the top 5 ranks are awarded a cash prize of INR 10,000 to help them with their future education.

Project Legacy offers mentorship, career guidance, stress and time management, and communication skills development programs to young people from Telangana Minorities Residential School-Zaheerabad.

Elevate 3.0 is a social program to educate underprivileged students in Telangana. Through this, students of Woxsen University teach arts, dance, English communication, life skills, and business skills to students from 1st to 12th grade.
