Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and University College Dublin (UCD) have signed a pact for student exchange, joint academic research, and faculty engagement.
New Delhi: Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) in India and the University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland have come together to sign a comprehensive agreement that opens up new opportunities for student exchange and joint academic research.
Under the agreement, students of VIT will have the option to pursue studies at UCD in the fields of engineering, architecture, and business for a single term or an entire academic year.
Additionally, students will have access to an international transfer program, which enables them to continue their studies at UCD upon completing at least two years of their bachelor's degree.
This partnership is anticipated to offer students exceptional prospects for global experience and educational enhancement while promoting intercultural awareness. Additionally, it will facilitate cooperative research endeavours aimed at addressing worldwide issues and advancing innovation.
Views of Faculties on the Collaboration
Colin Scott, Principal of College of Social Sciences and Law at University College Dublin, said, “The agreement between UCD and VIT will open up areas for cooperation between the two institutions in the areas of student and staff exchanges and collaborative partnership opportunities across diverse disciplines.
