Tripura Institute of Technology to ink MoU with Taiwan varsity

New Delhi: The Tripura Institute of Technology (TIT) has forged a partnership with a prominent university in Taiwan to enhance academic exchange programs. Chief Minister Manik Saha has cleared a proposal for signing the agreement with Providence University in Taiwan.

Chief Minister Manik Saha, who also oversees the Education portfolio, has approved a proposal to formalise an agreement with Providence University of Taiwan. Once the agreement is finalised,Tripura Institute of Technology students will have the opportunity to enrol in a variety of short-term courses offered by Providence University of Taiwan.

As a part of this collaboration, Faculty members from Tripura Institute of Technology will be able to participate in various programs at the foreign university. "The students and faculty members of the TIT will be able to undertake joint research, publications, and academic seminars in the Taiwan university", he said.

The proposed initiative will offer Tripura Institute of Technology a significant opportunity to improve its ranking according to the National Institute Ranking Framework (NIFR). It's worth noting that TIT has already established training programs in drone technology.

"Steps have also been taken to impart training on artificial intelligence", Chief Minister Manik Saha said. TIT was established in 1958 and offers undergraduate and three postgraduate engineering courses including computer science.
