Shillong College Receives A+ Accreditation from NAAC; Check Details Here

New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) has awarded the A+ accreditation to 57-year-old Shillong College. The announcement was made by university officials on Jun 27, 2023.

In an email to Shillong College, NAAC wrote, “Your institution has been accredited with a CGPA of 3.33 points at A+ Grade valid for a period of 5 years from 24-06-2023”. The NAAC is responsible for assessing and accrediting higher education institutions in the country.

The grade and accreditation were given to Shillong College after a successful review and Assessment and Accreditation (A&A) exercise carried out by the NAAC committee. The council members visited the college campus to examine the peer team reports.

Speaking on this occasion, Shillong College Principal Dr E Kharkongor shared her gratitude to Shillong College faculty members as well as the supportive staff and students for their hard work and commitment. She shared, “I am elated. My gratitude goes to the hardworking and well-trained faculty and the support staff for putting in their best effort that made the difference in our service to provide the best education to the students”.

Established in 1956, Shillong College is a private college in Meghalaya which offers various undergraduate courses. The courses focus on specialisations such as Business Administration, Science, Commerce, IT Humanities or Arts, and Mass Communication.
