The PGDSRD course is scheduled to commence in online mode from March 2024.
New Delhi: The National Institute of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (NIRDPR) is inviting applications for admission to its sixteenth batch of Post Graduate Diploma in Sustainable Rural Development (PGDSRD) for the academic session 2024-25. Interested candidates can apply online through the official website till March 15, 2024.
The PGDSRD course is scheduled to commence in online mode from March 2024. Selection of candidates will be done by a selection committee duly constituted for the purpose.
About the Program
The PGDSRD Program is an eighteen month course approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). The Programme will be offered through three semesters and will include self-instructional material in soft copy to the enrolled students. The materials include instructions for self-study and self-assessment exercises.
Ques: Who are Eligible for the Program?
Ans: Candidates having a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a UGC-recognised university are eligible for the course.
Evaluation and Examinations For the Program
PGDSRD Course will be offered in three semesters and will have 30 marks for the continuous evaluation through assignments and 70 marks for semester-end examinations (Total 100 marks). The students will also have to undertake a Project relating to Rural Development in the third semester which will carry 200 marks.
Ques: What is the Program Fee for the course?
Ans: Rs.16,500/- (for Gen/OBC/EWS) & Rs. 14,850/- (for SC/ST/PWD) to be deposited online in three equal instalments at the commencement of First, Second and Third Semesters.
Ques: How to Apply for the course?
Ans: : The Information Brochure can be downloaded from NIRDPR’s website www.nirdpr.org.in. The filled-in online application accompanied by a payment gateway for Rs. 500/- (for Gen/OBC/EWS) & Rs.300/- (for SC/ST/PH candidates) towards application fee along with attested copies of the required certificates as mentioned in the application form should be uploaded through online process.
