Dr. Atmanand, the Director of Management Development Institute (MDI), Murshidabad, is appointed as the new director of MDI Gurgaon.
Dr. Atmanand will take up the new charge as Director of Management Development Institute (MDI), Gurgaon from December 15, 2020.
Dr. Pawan Kumar, who is the current director of MDI Gurgaon will drop out from his position and will take charge as the new Director of IIM Tiruchirappalli.

Dr. Atmanand was the Founder Dean of MDI Murshidabad and he has been associated with MDI Gurgaon for more than 20 years. He is also providing his excellent service as an Independent Director on the Board of Central Bank of India.
Dr. Atmanand has previously worked for the Board of Steel Authority of India Ltd (SAIL) as an Independent Director. Various other responsibilities held by Dr. Atmanand were being a Member of the State Finance Commission, Government of Bihar and the Planning Commission, the Government of India.

Apart from his previous designations, Dr. Atmanand is a great writer, deep researcher, professor and a great leader. Across the refereed national and international journals, Dr. Atmanad has authored 16 books and published more than 90 research papers.
He also served as a PhD examiner and has mentored and guided around 30 theses and dissertation work. He is a senior Economics Professor who specializes in Public Enterprise Management, Management of Energy and Environment, Power, Financing Infrastructure Projects, Public Policy and Management, Oil and Gas, Steel, Project Finance, Economic and Business Environment.
MDI Gurgaon was established in 1973. It is one of the leading business schools in India which was ranked at 10th position by NIRF under the category of Private MBA Institutes. It is one of the top Institutes which offers Management education in India in PG, Executive PG, and PhD levels.
