New Delhi: Management Development Institute (MDI) Gurgaon has released a statement addressing the rumours claiming that MDI’s admissions are based on management quotas or payment seat systems. The official statement categorically denies these claims, as there are no such provisions at MDI Gurgaon.
The institute follows a merit-based admission process, especially for programs like the Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM). MDI Gurgaon expresses its commitment to upholding the integrity of admissions, highlighting that candidates' merit serves as the sole criterion for selection.
The clarification aims to rectify misconceptions and reinforce the institute's adherence to a fair and transparent admission procedure based on meritocracy.
Key Requirements and Qualifications for MDI Gurgaon Admission 2024
To be eligible for all MDI Gurgaon PGDM programs, applicants must possess a minimum of 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA in both the X and XII classes. Additionally, a Bachelor’s Degree with a duration meeting the specified requirements and a minimum score of 50% or an equivalent CGPA from a university recognised by AICTE/AIU/Ministry of HRD, Government of India, is mandatory.
For the PGDM, PGDM-HRM, and PGDM-Business Analytics programs, candidates must possess a minimum of a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree. Those in the final examination phase can apply if they fulfil all degree requirements by June 30, 2024.
As for the PGDM-International Business (PGDM-IB), applicants must hold a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum duration of 4 years. Additionally, at least 1 year of work experience must be acquired post-completion of the degree as of January 31, 2024.
These eligibility criteria ensure that candidates entering these programs have the necessary academic background and, in the case of PGDM-IB, relevant work experience.
MDI Gurgaon Admission 2024 Selection Criteria Explained
Admission to MDI Gurgaon courses is based on the candidates' performance in the Common Admission Test (CAT). At the same time, NRI candidates may also be considered based on the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT).
Candidates undergo a two-phase process involving initial shortlisting and a final GD-PI process conducted in various Indian cities. Each application undergoes meticulous evaluation, adhering to established criteria to ensure fairness and integrity in the admission process.
