New Delhi: The Indian School of Business (ISB) will introduce the Vidula Jalan Scholarship for two PGP students starting from the Class of 2025, one female and one male, based on need and merit.
Established in memory of the Late Vidula Jalan, an ISB PGP Class of 2003 alumna, this scholarship is a generous contribution from the Anshuman and Vidula Jalan Foundation. This scholarship is the largest endowment to ISB to date and ensures perpetual funding for deserving candidates.
Vidula Jalan, renowned as the Chairperson of Mangalam Cements, was acclaimed for her leadership ethos that prioritized employees. Anshuman Vikram Jalan, trustee of the Anshuman and Vidula Jalan Foundation, highlighted Vidula's belief in education's transformative power to impact individuals' lives and profoundly contribute to societal development.
He added, “This scholarship enables us to honor her memory and put this ethos into practice by helping future leaders, who might otherwise be constrained by financial aspects, to avail of world-class management education at ISB,” he added.
Madan Pillutla, Dean of ISB, said: “We are gratified to receive this support for our scholarship program. It enhances our ability to bring in deserving individuals who would otherwise not be able to benefit from the education ISB provides and thereby maximise their potential. We look forward to making the most of this generous support to bring diverse talent into our upcoming PGP classes.’‘
