New Delhi: Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Bhilai is inviting applications for admission to its PhD program under the Prime Minister's Research Fellows (PMRF) Scheme for the December 2022 session. Interested candidates can now apply online till October 31, 2022. 

As per IIT Bhilai, the application window is open for admission to PhD courses offered by the Department of Chemistry. CS, Data Science, AI, Electrical Engineering, Electric Vehicle Technology, Liberal Arts, Mathematics, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, and Department of Physics.

To apply for IIT Bhilai PhD Admissions 2022, interested candidates need to have a master's degree in Engineering, Science, arts, social sciences, or equivalent degree and a bachelor’s in technology from any recognized board with at least 60% marks. 

Additionally, candidates must have a valid score in qualifying examinations such as GATE score, CSIR-UGC NET (JRF/LS), or a Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) from one of the following organisations: CSIR, UGC, NBHM, DBT, ICAR, ICMR or ICPR/DAE.

As per the admission criteria, candidates need to have a minimum of 2 years of Professional experience to apply for admission. Experience accomplished before the beginning of the semester or experience completed after earning the qualifying degree is also preferred.

A BTech degree from an IIT with a CPI/CGPA of 8.0 or higher is highly preferred. Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be shortlisted for admission seats and will be further called for the entrance test and interview round in order to be selected for the desired PhD course.
