IISER Thiruvananthapuram celebrated its 11th Convocation on July 23, 2023. Dr K Radhakrishnan, recipient of the Padma Bhushan Award and current chair of the IIT Council's standing committee, served as the convocation's chief guest.

New Delhi: IISER Thiruvananthapuram has organised its 11th Convocation on July 23, 2023. Dr K Radhakrishnan, recipient of the Padma Bhushan Award and Chair of the IIT Council served as the convocation's chief guest and delivered the address

During the 11th Convocation, 189 BS-MS, 36 PhD, 12 Integrated PhD, and 21 MS (Research) students received their degrees. The M.Sc Program 2023, which was launched in 2021, also celebrated the accomplishments of its 73-person inaugural graduating class on this occasion.

One of the top science education and research institutions, IISER Thiruvananthapuram was founded by the Indian government in 2008 to provide top-notch instruction combined with exceptional modern science research. 

The IISER Thiruvananthapuram has advanced academically in a noteworthy manner since its establishment. Currently, Prof. Arvind A. Natu serves as the Board of Governors Chairman, and Prof. J. N. Moorthy serves as the Institute's Director. 

IISER Thiruvananthapuram has worked hard to establish a reputation for providing immersive research experiences together with high-quality higher education in the nation. From modest beginnings, the institute has grown into a thriving knowledge hub that will rise in the country in the years to come.

The carefully chosen pedagogy offers students a flexible curriculum with a strong interdisciplinary character and gives them an expanding learning environment. The institute offers its courses to interested students in line with the principles of NEP 2020. 

The Institute recently created the Schools of Data Science and Earth, Environment and Sustainability Sciences in an effort to further diversify. In order to encourage quality and creativity in addressing difficult global concerns through all-inclusive methods, these multidisciplinary schools facilitate collaboration across fields.
