Candidates must hold a Masters/ MS (by Research) degree in Engineering/ Technology/ Mathematics/ Physics/ English in a related branch of study with at least 60% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5 (out of 10) in Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree.
Applicants holding a BE/ BTech degree with a good academic record will be offered direct admission to PhD program if they have pursued BTech from IIT with a CGPA of 8 or a valid GATE score OR have a BE/ BTech with a valid GATE score from any other university with a CGPA of 8/ 75% aggregate (General/ OBC) whereas for (SC/ST/ PwD) category a CGPA of 7.5/ 70% aggregate OR a BE/ BTech from a recognised R&D organisation along with a CGPA of 6.5/ 60% or aggregate.
The selection to the PhD program will be done on the basis of candidates’ overall performance in entrance examination, personal interview round and academics.
