IIFT Delhi Appointed Prof Rakesh Mohan Joshi as New Vice Chancellor

Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi was awarded the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Award in December 2022 as well as the International Awards from the London Business School, London. He will now serve as the new Vice Chancellor of IIFT Delhi.

New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) has appointed international trade expert Dr Rakesh Mohan Joshi as its new Vice-Chancellor on June 05, 2024. He has been a professor at IIFT New Delhi since 2000 with expertise in International Trade, International Business and International Management.

Previously, Rakesh Mohan was the Director of the Indian Institute of Plantation Management in Bangalore (IIPMB). He also served as the Chairman of BIS and has been the visitor's (the President of India) Nominee on the University Court, University of Delhi and at IIT, Kanpur and several other universities.

About Professor Rakesh Mohan Joshi

Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi is a leading academician, eminent author and a renowned international trade and management expert. He has completed his education from one of the leading institutes such as Harvard Business School, Boston; IIFT; Gujarat Agricultural University, Anand; Rajasthan University, Jaipur and National Dairy Research Institute, Karnal.

In addition, Dr. Rakesh has worked on several publications including International Business and International Marketing, which Oxford University Press publishes. His writing style is easy to comprehend, making his books interesting and captivating.

Prof. Joshi has conducted research, teaching and training programs in various countries across the globe including the US, China, Russia, Canada, the UK, France, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Belgium, the Netherlands, Sweden, Denmark, UAE, Singapore, Egypt, Hong Kong, etc.

He was awarded the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Award in December 2022 for his contribution to economic research and policy by the Indian Economic Association. He has also received International Awards from the London Business School, London for his case studies.
