DU Won Six Prizes in 37th Inter-University North West Region Youth Festival

New Delhi: The 37th Inter-University North West Zone Youth Festival 2024 was held at Rohtak, where the University of Delhi has achieved prizes in a total of 6 categories. After this, Delhi University will participate in the National Youth Festival at Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana, in March-April 2024.

Dean of Culture Council Prof. Ravinder Kumar announced that Rochelle John had won first place in the Western Vocal Solo category, Zargham Akram Khan won second place in Classical Instrumental Solo (Percussion) category and Jaiditya Jha had won third place in Western Instrumental Solo category. 

Additionally, Aditya R of Delhi University won third place in the Classical Dance category; Khushboo Kumari Singh won fourth place in the Rangoli category; and Pushpam Kumar won fifth place in the On-the-Spot Painting category at Inter-University Festival 2024.

DU VC Professor Yogesh Singh heartily congratulated all the participants and the culture council of the University of Delhi for their achievements. The 37th Inter-University North West Zone Youth Festival 2024 was organized this year at Maharishi Dayanand University Rohtak, Haryana under the support of the Association of Indian Universities.

The prize ceremony was headed by Mr Anand Mohan, Additional Chief Secretary of Haryana and Prof. Rajbir Singh, Vice Chancellor of MDU. The event also witnessed Prof. Ravinder Kumar (Dean, Culture Council), Dr Rigzin Kang Dr Sukanya Tikadar (Team in-Charge), Dr. Sunil, and Dr Gurjeet Singh (Support Staff).
