New Delhi: Delhi Technological University's (DTU) Centre for Extension and Field Outreach held a six-day "Exploring Engineering" workshop for students of Class 10, 11, and 12 in Delhi NCR. The program premiered on June 19 and ran through June 24, 2023.

As per DTU, the purpose of the program was to encourage kids in the NCR of Delhi to pursue careers in engineering. The course gave students exposure to the field of engineering and how it may advance society.

The week-long experiment involved 258 students from Classes 10, 11, and 12 from several schools in the Delhi NCR. These students have first-hand exposure to DTU's electrical, electronics and communication, computer, information technology, and design departments.

Amit Kumar Srivastava, head of the Centre for Extension and Field Outreach, stated the program's primary goal as "the main objective was to motivate the students towards engineering and bring enthusiasm in the minds of the participants".

Like how a light bulb glows, how you can send a message across a large distance in a split second, how you save data, and so on, he continued. According to DTU registrar Madhusudan Singh, the "Exploring Engineering" curriculum would let students choose their area of study after Class 12.

Many of you have the opportunity to enrol in DTU, and Singh went on to say that this sort of distinctive course will help students transfer from the classroom to the university environment.
