BHU has signed an MoU with Uniqlo, the brand of Fast Retailing in Japan creating great learning and internship opportunities for BHU students.
New Delhi: As per the latest updates, the Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has signed an MoU with Japanese Apparel Uniqlo, the flagship brand of Fast Retailing, to increase internship opportunities for BHU students.
As a part of this MoU, the BHU and Japanese Apparel Uniqlo discussed a few strategies to advance the bilateral engagement with each other, which include scholarships to students and management training workshops.
The MoU was signed in the presence of Prof Sudhir Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of BHU Faculty, Director of HR & General Administration at Uniqlo, Shinichi Hashimoto; Group Executive Vice President of Fast Retailing, Norikaki Koyama; and Principal Strategist at Fast Retailing, Mayank Shukla.
BHU and Japanese Apparel Uniqlo Global Management Program
Nearly 100 BHU Students applied to the Global Management Program this year, according to Mayank Shukla, who reported the success of the program. Students participating in the Global Management Program get the chance to learn about the global business industry through business sessions taken by experts in global markets.
Selected UG and PG BHU students can participate in the Japanese Business Culture Program which will expose them to the Uniqlo Business environment.
Prof Sudhir Kumar Jain expressed his happiness with the MoU, stating that many BHU students have gained internships and professional experience with Uniqlo. He commended the efforts of Uniqlo to nurture the talent at BHU and wished success to Shreyas Jaiswal, a student working with Uniqlo in Japan under the Global Management Programme facilitated by the MoU signed.
Noriaki Koyama highlighted the company’s excitement about partnering with one of India’s iconic and leading universities, expressing the desire to continue the collaboration with mutual benefit between parties.
