BHU Partners with HMCH and Mahamana Cancer Centre to Enhance Patient Care and Research

New Delhi: Banaras Hindu University (BHU) and the Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital (HMCH), and the Mahamana Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Cancer Centre (MPMMCC) in Varanasi have collaborated to enhance patient care, research projects, and advance in academics.

This strategic collaboration between BHU aims to broaden the reach of advanced medical treatments to a larger demographic while capitalizing on each institution's distinct strengths and specialized expertise. By doing so, it endeavors to extend specialized medical investigations to patients at the Institute of Medical Sciences (IMS), BHU, at subsidized rates, thus filling gaps in services unavailable within BHU.

Additionally, BHU employees and their dependents will gain access to credited treatment through an alignment process with CGHS, enhancing their healthcare benefits. This collaboration transcends the realm of medical research, venturing into joint academic ventures spanning diverse disciplines such as science, engineering, and medicine, fostering interdisciplinary research initiatives.

It promotes an exchange platform for students, faculty, and researchers between these institutions, enabling a symbiotic transfer of knowledge and expertise. This interaction will also facilitate the professional development of medical staff, exposing them to varied environments and best practices, ultimately improving patient care standards.
