ABV IIITM Gwalior to Host Workshop on Cybersecurity in Edge Computing Enabled IoT; Register till Nov 15

New Delhi: Atal Bihari Vajpayee-Indian Institute of Information Technology and Management (ABV-IIITM), Gwalior is all set to conduct a High-End Workshop on Cybersecurity in Edge Computing Enabled Internet of Things (IoT) as part of the Karyashala Scheme - A SERB Initiative from December 12 to 18, 2023. 

As per ABV IIITM Gwalior, registration for workshop began on November 1, 2023, and the application deadline is November 15, 2023. The workshop is scheduled from December 12 to 18, 2023 and the announcement of Shortlisted Candidates will be done on November 22, 2023.

The workshop is funded through the Accelerate Vigyan Scheme by the Science and Engineering Research Board, Department of Science & Technology, Government of India

This workshop aims to offer students and researchers opportunities to enrich their knowledge in the following areas:

• Fundamental of Edge-IoT
• Fundamental of Cybersecurity
• Security challenges in Edge-IoT
• Potential solutions to Edge-IoT security challenges (such as ML-based, Blockchain-based etc.

The Internet of Things (IoT) stands as one of the most impactful technologies of the decade, revolutionizing sectors like Healthcare, Transportation, Manufacturing, Agriculture, and more. This network comprises connected physical devices that gather and share data about their surrounding environment. 

Edge computing solutions facilitate local data processing, addressing challenges linked to cloud-based solutions. The Edge-IoT paradigm enhances system performance through local data collection and processing but introduces potential security threats at both data and infrastructure levels. 

Who Can Attend the Workshop? 

The workshop is open for M.Tech and Ph.D. students specializing in Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, or related fields. The available seats are limited to 25, and participants will be chosen based on their academic and research background on a first-come-first-serve basis. 

Those selected will receive comprehensive support, including travel (3AC), stationary, consumables, accommodation, food, etc., in accordance with SERB norms.
