Maynooth University admissions are offered to international students from more than 100 countries across various undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The university has a total enrollment of 15,180 students comprising around 11,500+ UG and 2,465 graduate students. Rest of 165 students are enrolled in doctoral degrees while nearly 1,100 are pursuing other courses. Applications for Maynooth University admissions are invited twice a year- Fall and Spring season. An application fee of 50 EUR (4,479 INR) is required for applying to postgraduate admissions at Maynooth University. While a non-refundable fee of 30 EUR (2,687 INR) is required for undergraduate admissions.

The online application portals for UG and PG students opens on November 1 of the previous year. The university offers applicants a chance to include up to three programs in one application form. To be eligible, Indian students are required to have a minimum aggregate of 60% in bachelor's for master's degree and an overall average of 75% in high school for getting into undergraduate degree at Maynooth. IELTS/TOEFL scores and supporting documents like LORs, sop, birth certificate are also required for admissions. International students are encouraged to submit well written SOP for them to be considered for admission.

Maynooth University invites applications for the fall and spring semesters. The application for undergraduate admissions are now closed. Those seeking admissions to graduate programs may apply till June 30, 2023. 

Maynooth University Postgraduate Admission

Maynooth University offers 50 master's courses to around 1,800 students. All prospective applicants for graduate-level programs must hold a completed bachelor’s degree or be in the final year of study. Applicants must be able to provide complete academic records including name, the title of degree, date of completion, degree-awarding body, etc.

Maynooth University mainly offers undergraduate degrees in Arts and Science with a wide variety of subject choices. Students seeking admission to undergraduate programs must have completed secondary level education and submit up-to-date transcripts with descriptions of courses taken. Maynooth University Admission Decision 

The admission decision for undergraduate applications at Maynooth are typically made in 2 to 4 weeks while the decision takes around 4 weeks to arrive. During this time, the applicant may receive any one of the following offers:

Applicants must accept their offer within a given period of time by paying a deposit of 200 EUR (17,926 INR)

Maynooth University Admission: Selection Criteria 

Maynooth University acceptance rate is 73% as the admissions are moderately selective. This also indicates that students with good academic standings are more likely to secure a place during admissions. Meanwhile, those only meeting the minimum eligibility criteria may either receive a conditional offer or place on a waiting list. The university may also invite students to attend an interview in order to assess their suitability for the course. 

An acceptance email will be sent to the email address entered on the application form on a rolling basis. Applicants should receive an admission decision within 4 weeks of submitting the application. Failure to submit the supporting documents on time will delay the application processing time. Selected applicants will have to make a payment of 200 EUR (17,926 INR) as a security deposit for the program that they have applied for. Deposit is deducted from the overall fee for your program. The deposit will be returned if requirements are not fulfilled for the course.
