  • MS in Neuroengineering (MSNE) at Technical University of Munich is a two-year graduate program, with an optional Research Excellence Certificate, hosted by the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering and the Center of Competence on Neuroengineering.
  • The programme is interdisciplinary and combines experimental and theoretical neuroscience with profound training in engineering.
  • The programme is designed  with an optional Research Excellence Certificate (additional 30 ECTS).
  • The curriculum is innovative in the sense that all mandatory modules include hands-on implementation of acquired knowledge in small-team projects with tight supervision to ensure the students are able to apply the relevant methods and techniques.
  • The overall timeline is three semesters of classes including hands-on projects, intense projects during the semester breaks (possibly abroad); with a fourth semester for the mandatory Master's thesis.
  • MSNE graduates are trained to act out their future career in an ethically and societally responsible manner, being aware of, and addressing contemporary and future societal needs and challenges.

There are no tuition fees per law in Germany.In order to study at TUM you do, however, have to pay the student union fee and a solidarity contribution for the Semester Ticket.

The semester fees, which consist of the basic student union fee and the fees for the basic semester ticket, which is (152.30 Euro or 13,453 INR )must be transferred in time for each semester in which you wish to begin or continue your studies.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a university that is rated H+ at Anabin in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Bio-Medical Engineering, Psychology with an Engineering minor, or a similar degree.
  • Proof of english proficiency by scoring in TOFEL  or IELTS.
  • Selection takes place through an aptitude assessment procedure. Aptitude assessment is a two-part procedure after the submission of an official application to a program. In this procedure, the TUM school or department determines whether you meet the specific requirements for its master’s degree program.
  • GRE score is not mandatory.

Sir/madam i am preparing for goethe b1 exam for german language proficiency, but now i am bit confused after seeing the requirements of this course, is DSH exam only accepted for german language proficiency or certificates from goethe are also acceptable?

The Technical University Munich (TUM) accepts both the Goethe Zertifikat B1 and the DSH exam as proof of German language proficiency for their programs.

Yes, you need to submit the GRE score. You must have a bachelor’s degree (requiring at least 6 semesters of study) or equivalent in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or a closely related field might be preferred, or a comparable program at a German or foreign university. English Language Proficiency Score IELTS - 6.5 | TOEFL: 88 | PTE: 65 along with other admissions requirements.
