  • Dislikes:
  • Pretty expensive and small portion sizes for food in the campus canteen.,
  • On-campus accommodation is also very expensive and usually has very small rooms.,
  • HR and management need more attention; as paperwork takes ages to complete and usually has errors if not checked properly.

Overview:

The decision to choose this University was pretty straightforward for me as I had an offer for the PhD with a full scholarship. The scholarship was good enough to allow me to rent accommodation outside the university and cover all my miscellaneous expenses.

  • Nothing much to dislike here. Just the food quality is a bit low but it is still manageable and also there is a kitchen where you can cooke your own food.

Overview:

I chose this university because of multiple factors- research facilities, International University, English courses in bachelor's, Highly ranked. The overall experience is great. The college has many meetings and events to incorporate as many people as possible and also help them socialize. It is a great university for international students as there are also intercultural trainings to share cultures and interact with new people. The course structure is fairly organized and the exam schedule is also quite managed.

  • Dislikes:
  • I think one thing I dislike about the university is the high costs of living. The food at the cafeteria is expensive. The options are also limited. Other than that, the administration can be slow at times.

Overview:

I chose this university for the diversity and the programme. I have loved my experience at Constructor University Bremen. I came here for the diverse environment and I have made many international friends over the years. The research experience has also been top tier and I have so many new skills under my belt.

Scholarship:

The university automatically considers prospective students for scholarships depending on GPA, etc.

  • Dislikes:
  • The food offered in the servery is sub-par, especially because I'm a vegetarian and the vegan options offered are not that great in my opinion. I'm also not a fan of the high tuition fees they charge.

Overview:

I chose this college as this was a 3 year degree taught in English, and a specific course: Robotics. Overall my experience here has been great mainly because of the exposure to people from different nationalities. This has in a way helped me prepare for the real world. The academics and extracurricular activities offered are equally good.

  • Dislikes:
  • The only cons are rising tuition fees and living costs in Germany. I believe that with more scholarship options and industry collaborations, students will be able to have an affordable tuition fee.,
  • Also, housing facilities should be included for post-graduate and doctoral students to ensure that they don't face hurdles while living in Bremen.

Overview:

I chose this college as it is well-known for its English-speaking environment, and the group I applied to had a good reputation internationally. Jacobs University Bremen is a wonderful place to study. It is a completely English-speaking university, so international students face no language barriers. The onboarding process is very swift and supportive. The surrounding neighborhood is also highly supportive of student activities and not very costly to promote a student lifestyle. The calm and peaceful environment of the campus is worth visiting. During COVID-19, there were precautionary measures taken to ensure safety on the campus and emergency medical service was available 24*7. The overall experience is excellent, considering all aspects.

Scholarship:

I received a DAAD stibet-III scholarship for the last semester of my studies. It is meant to fund students in their last year of studies to finish the dissertation.
