I would say that TUM is a top tier university and can be compared to MIT standards. The engineering students here are one of the best brains on the planet and therefore it is very tough to compete the engineering courses here. However the School of management is not as difficult as compared to engineering school. However one should not take it lightly. The faculty here are very experienced and have very good English skills. Most of the people here in the Uni can speak English and therefore it becomes easier for international students. There is also a buddy program for new students which can help them get to know about the Uni and the course better.
Course Curriculum :
The course syllabus changes every year since the latest version is taught to the students. Course is very vast and covers most of the things that a student will need after the bachelors.
Exams :
Upon Completion of 13th year in the form of Studienkolleg. For joining a Studienkolleg one has to give an exam called Aufnahmeprüfung and can get qualified for a Studienkolleg.. Yes CV and motivation letters are mandatory. CV should also mention the gap year and what the student was doing in that time. Proof of English language is required and grade transcripts needs to be verified by UNIASSIST. Yes I had 1 interview to check my qualifications and knowledge. It was very important for further selection.
Placement :
The employment rate of TUM is very high and amongst the top 10 universities globally. Therefore landing a good job is easy if one studies well and has an internship before.

Faculty and Students relation is not like India. Here students need to approach the faculty and wait for an appointment to meet them but one can contact them directly via email
Campus Life :
Campus life is very good and diverse. Students from all over the world come here to study and the infrastructure is very modern.
Hostel :
Accommodation here is a big problem and one should be prepared to face it. Student dorms have waiting periods of atleast 3 semesters and there private rooms are the only option.
