Rennes School of Business admissions run on a rolling review model for Indian applicants, with September as the primary intake and a smaller January window. Undergraduate entry needs a completed Class XII in any stream plus IELTS 6.0, while MSc entry needs a recognised three-year Bachelor’s degree with IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80.
- Next live deadline: 30 June 2027 for the September 2027 primary intake (Talent and Unframed scholarship anchor), with weekly rolling review continuing after that date.
- Base tuition + application fee: MSc base tuition ranges from € 18,500 to € 28,900 (₹ 20.19 to 31.54 Lakhs) across the M2 or full two-year track, with a one-time application fee of € 90 (around ₹ 9,823).
- Basic eligibility: UG needs Class XII at 60 percent plus IELTS 6.0; MSc needs a three-year Bachelor’s at 55 to 60 percent plus IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 80.
- Acceptance rate: Estimated at 30 to 40 percent, based on French grande école admissions patterns; the school does not publish an official institutional figure.
Popular tracks for Indian applicants include MSc International Finance, MSc Data and Business Analytics, MSc Luxury Marketing and Brand Management, and the Master in Management. Prior Indian cohorts highlight the multicultural classroom, small class sizes at Rennes campus, and industry-linked capstone projects. A broader picture of academics, cost of living, and placements sits in the full Rennes School of Business overview.
Rennes School of Business Application Deadlines for Indian Students
Rennes School of Business runs a rolling weekly review through its own apply.rennes-sb.com portal, so applications are read as they arrive rather than in fixed rounds. Two fixed anchor dates matter for Indian applicants: the scholarship cut-off of 30 June for the September intake, and the 1 August close for the smaller January cohort, per the official RSB admissions page.
| Intake | Level | App Opens | Deadline | App Fee | Portal |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| September 2027 (Primary intake) | UG + PG | Rolling (open now) | 30 June 2027 (RSB scholarship anchor); weekly review continues | € 90 (₹ 9,823) | apply.rennes-sb.com |
| January 2027 | Select MSc tracks | Rolling (Closed) | 1 August 2026 (Closed) | € 90 (₹ 9,823) | apply.rennes-sb.com |
| January 2028 | Select MSc tracks | Rolling (open now) | 1 August 2027 | € 90 (₹ 9,823) | apply.rennes-sb.com |
RSB’s primary intake for Indian students is September 2027. Most MSc, MIM, and Bachelor programmes open here. The January window covers a limited MSc list, so Indian applicants targeting all tracks should aim for September and submit well before 30 June 2027 to preserve visa-processing time.
Planning note: Weekly rolling review means an application filed in November 2026 typically has an admission decision within three to four weeks, freeing scholarship and visa paperwork early.
Rennes School of Business Eligibility, English Tests and Waivers

- PG general entry: Three-year Bachelor’s in any discipline with 55 to 60 percent for the two-year MSc, and 60 to 65 percent (four-year Bachelor’s preferred) for direct M2 entry.
- MBA entry: Bachelor’s plus three or more years of full-time work experience.
- DBA entry: Master’s or MBA plus five years of managerial experience, or Bachelor’s plus ten years of managerial experience.

Applicants who lived and studied in an English-majority country for two consecutive years also qualify. No waiver is offered based on Class XII English marks alone.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Rennes School of Business page for your chosen programme before applying.

Rennes School of Business International MBA
The Rennes School of Business International MBA is a 12-month full-time programme taught in English at the Rennes campus, aimed at professionals with three or more years of work experience. It also feeds into the school’s Executive MBA (part-time, 18 months) and the AMBA-accredited Global MBA track. Recent MBA cohorts include a strong Indian representation across tech, consulting, and finance.
Rennes School of Business MBA Eligibility for Indian Students
Full-time MBA entry needs a Bachelor’s degree, three or more years of full-time post-degree work experience, IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL iBT 90, and either GMAT/GRE or the school’s internal aptitude test. The Executive MBA needs five or more years of experience with at least two years in a managerial role. GMAT is waived for applicants with strong quantitative undergraduate transcripts or a professional certification such as CFA Level 1 or above.
Rennes School of Business MBA Interview and Selection
Shortlisted candidates attend a 30-minute online interview with an MBA admissions panel, typically scheduled within two weeks of application submission. Selection weighs work experience quality, career vision, and quantitative readiness. Rounds are not offshore-restricted, and all rolling-review dates are open to Indian applicants.
Reality check: The AMBA-accredited International MBA is compact and cohort-based, so seats fill quickly for the September intake. Filing before the March 2027 window materially improves scholarship visibility.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Rennes School of Business page for your chosen programme before applying.
Rennes School of Business Global DBA and PhD Pathway
Rennes School of Business runs a three-year part-time Global Doctorate of Business Administration (Global DBA), extendable up to four years, plus a specialised DBA in Data Science and AI. A traditional PhD track exists under the joint research programme with Rennes 1 university. All doctoral routes are English-taught and thesis-based.
Rennes School of Business DBA Eligibility and Interview
Applicants need either a Master’s degree (including MBA or Executive MBA) plus five years of management experience, or a Bachelor’s plus ten years of managerial experience. English proficiency is expected via TOEFL, IELTS, or equivalent, waived for native speakers or candidates with prior English-medium study. A research proposal and a live online interview with the programme manager are compulsory.
Rennes School of Business Doctoral Funding for Indian Students
The Eiffel Excellence Scholarship (PhD track) offers € 1,400 per month (₹ 1.53 Lakhs) for up to 12 months for nominated doctoral candidates. Nomination is by the school, not the candidate. The DBA is largely self-funded, though loan support is common through Indian NBFCs. See the full funding options for Indian students.
Note: Program-specific entry requirements, fees, and intake availability may differ from the institution-wide minimums shown above. Always confirm on the official Rennes School of Business page for your chosen programme before applying.
Rennes School of Business Application Process for Indian Students
All Indian applicants apply directly through the school’s own portal — there is no Parcoursup requirement for MSc, MIM, MBA, or DBA tracks. Bachelor applicants who choose Parcoursup pay the standard € 90 fee inside that platform, but direct admission via the RSB portal is the faster route for most Indian applicants.
- Create your account on the apply.rennes-sb.com portal and select the programme, campus, and intake.
- Upload the standard document set (see next section) as PDFs, each labelled clearly.
- Pay the application fee of € 90 (around ₹ 9,823) on the apply.rennes-sb.com portal via card or bank transfer.
- Complete the recorded video question set (three prompts, two-minute answers) for MSc, MIM, and MBA tracks.
- Attend the live online interview if shortlisted, usually within two to three weeks of submission.
- Receive the admission decision by email — offers, conditional offers, and rejections are all issued in writing.
Rennes School of Business Admission Decisions Timeline
Admission decisions for MSc, MIM, and Bachelor tracks are issued within three to four weeks of a completed application. Offers list the tuition deposit due (€ 3,000, or ₹ 3.27 Lakhs) and the acceptance deadline, usually 30 days from offer issue. Conditional offers can be issued before final English scores are in. Deferral to the next intake is granted case by case for visa-related delays.
Before you apply: Video responses are stored on your file and reviewed alongside your written motivation letter. Poor lighting or unclear audio does hurt evaluation, so record from a quiet room in one clean take.
Rennes School of Business Documents Required for Indian Applicants
The document checklist below applies to Indian applicants across MSc, MIM, Bachelor, and MBA routes. All uploads must be in PDF, in English or French, and every academic document not originally issued in English needs a certified translation.
- Copy of passport (bio page) — valid for at least 18 months from intake start.
- One recent passport-size photograph in JPEG or PNG.
- Curriculum vitae (Europass or standard format, one page for UG, two pages for PG).
- Class X and Class XII mark sheets and passing certificates.
- Bachelor’s transcripts (all semesters or years) plus provisional or final degree certificate.
- Motivation letter (500 to 800 words) mapped to the chosen programme.
- Two academic or professional letters of recommendation.
- English test score report (IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, TOEIC, or Cambridge) OR an MOI letter if applying under waiver.
- Work experience letters and payslips (for MBA and DBA applicants).

- Research proposal — 3,000 to 5,000 words (DBA and PhD applicants only).
Rennes School of Business Acceptance Rate for Indian Students
Rennes School of Business does not publish an official institutional acceptance rate. Based on French grande école admission patterns and the school’s rolling-review model, the effective acceptance rate for Indian applicants is estimated at 30 to 40 percent across MSc tracks, with tighter selection on the flagship MIM and MBA routes.
What actually drives an RSB offer?
Three factors dominate decisions for Indian applicants: a clean academic record (55 percent+ for MSc, 60 percent+ for finance and analytics tracks), a verified English score at or above the programme floor, and a motivation letter that connects the chosen MSc to a concrete post-graduation goal. Weak or generic motivation letters are the most common rejection reason in the rolling weekly review.
Rennes School of Business Selectivity Signals
The school’s triple-crown accreditation (AACSB, AMBA, EQUIS) and its QS EMBA Europe rank of 48 keep the applicant pool competitive despite the accessible acceptance band. See the full ranking band and subject positions.
Insider note: Indian applicants who submit a first-attempt IELTS above the floor by two full band points (e.g. IELTS 7.5 for an MSc requiring 6.5) get faster interview scheduling in the weekly review.
France Student Visa for Rennes School of Business Admits
Indian admits to Rennes School of Business apply for the VLS-TS Étudiant long-stay visa through Campus France India after paying the tuition deposit. The Campus France Études en France platform pre-registration is compulsory for all Indian applicants before booking the VFS visa appointment, and takes three to four weeks from account creation to the pedagogical interview.
Financial proof of at least € 7,380 per year (₹ 8.05 Lakhs) in a personal or sponsor bank account is required, alongside proof of accommodation for at least the first three months. Post-arrival, the VLS-TS visa must be validated online within three months of entry through the OFII portal, which costs € 60 (around ₹ 6,548). The visa carries automatic work rights of up to 964 hours per year (about 20 hours per week).
2026 update: French consular processing time for Indian student visas is currently 15 to 20 working days from the VFS submission. Applicants for the September 2027 intake should submit visa paperwork no later than early July 2027.
Tips and Application Checklist for Rennes School of Business
The following tips and steps are drawn from Indian-applicant patterns at Rennes School of Business over the last three intakes. Steps sit in the order they should happen, not in the order documents are asked for.
- Start 9 months out: book your IELTS or TOEFL slot by January 2027 for a September 2027 intake, so you have time for a rebook if needed.
- Target the RSB scholarship anchor: submit the full file by 30 June 2027 to be considered for the Talent and Unframed awards (up to € 5,000 or ₹ 5.46 Lakhs each).
- Programme-specific motivation letter: a generic "why France" letter is the top rejection trigger in weekly review — link two coursework modules to a concrete role.
- Record video answers in one take: quiet room, natural light, two-minute cap per prompt, no reading from script.
- Request transcripts 8 weeks before deadline: Indian university registrars are slow in April to May; asking in February keeps you ahead.
- Campus France pre-registration by mid-July 2027: mandatory for the VFS visa slot, which drives the entire post-offer timeline.
- Book accommodation before offer acceptance: Rennes and Paris student housing waitlists hit peak in June — CROUS or RSB partner residences fill first.
- Keep the € 3,000 deposit ready: the enrolment deposit is due 30 days from offer, well before scholarship results.
Rennes School of Business admissions reward Indian applicants who submit early in the weekly rolling window with a tight, programme-specific motivation letter. The 30 June scholarship anchor and the triple-crown accreditation together explain why September remains the primary intake for this school.
