- Professor quality is among the top in their field from Europe/ France. Well published PhDs.
- The school facilities are great. Quality of classrooms, free printouts, the lunch/ cafe/ vending machines help you not leave campus unnecessarily. Bloomberg lab available.
- All academics has a practical element in terms of teaching and projects. The projects add to the grade as well. It is not just rote learning or theory.
Dislikes
- It is more on the expensive side of schools. Cafe food is on the expensive side as well.
- Only the MFE program is ranked in the financial times, and not the others. The reputation as a target school is mostly for MFE, and not MIF (or others)
- MIF student quality will not be the best. It is not specialised and often overlooked by local students who will do the MIM program or preparation courses. They prefer to get into corporate finance or financial engineering.
Placement
- Probably 90% of students will get an internship within six months of graduation. However, full-time jobs are a difficult statistic to measure. As it stands right now, not even 50% of students are converted to a full-time role (this is for foreigners without an EU passport). It is easy for students with an EU passport or for students who can speak fluent french.
- Internship salaries range from 800 to 2200 euros per month. Full-time salaries will be upwards of 40000 a year.
- There is no campus recruitment. Linkedin, JobTeaser, and the roles that the career centre sends us are our best bets. Networking can work, sure. But networking at job fairs was useless, in my opinion. Online portals with 100s of applications work best.
- Almost always it is smaller financial firms or bigger firms that are not in finance. RWE for energy, MARS for corporate finance, and any major bank are good targets. The job roles vary from FP&A to admin to accounting. Most students ultimately do not get to do what they want, so they choose to also take up middle-office/accounting/compliance roles in any financial firm or management company.
- Broadly, including the locals and natives plus foreigners, it is SocGen, BNP Paribas, Unicredit Bank etc. It keeps changing. Most people DO NOT get into the biggest banks or biggest asset managers. It is a myth and a dream that is falsely sold to students.
- If you enrol early by February, you can get help from the International Students office for accommodation. They have tie-ups. That is how I got my accommodation. Otherwise, the best source is STUDAPART. They charge heavy fees, but it is reliable and can act as a guarantor as well.
- Bed, proper bathroom, microwave and stoves. Cabinet. Mattress as well. For my accommodation, even a balcony. Sometimes, depending on the building, there may be laundry facilities, a gym, a common area, and vending machines. My rent was 650 euros. I got a subsidy of 190.
- This is a tourist destination in the summer, so accommodations are expensive and get booked very fast.
- Get an admission early and use the help from the student office. It is a challenge otherwise.
- My accommodation was 20 minutes away by tram. Most indian students stayed close to the campus, which was just 5 minutes away.

- I like about EDHEC Business school is Location.
- International environment
- Course Structure
Dislikes
- Campus residence could be better
- High fee structure
- Food could be diverse
Placement
- Around 90 percent of students find their internships after completing their course. The average salary is 1300 euros but can go up to 1800-1900 euros per month. For the permanent position, a lot of factors including Visa, your performance during internship etc are involved. In France you have to apply through LinkedIn, Jobteaser or other online websites.
- There are networking sessions organised which provide the opportunity to connect with HR of different companies and know much more about the positions. The major companies are L’Oréal, LVMH, Amazon, BNP Paribas. The major challenge for Indian students is French, that’s why it is really necessary to improve your language skills. EDHEC Career center helps in crafting resumes and interview practices.
- EDHEC has partnered agencies for accommodation. I applied through that. There are other online platforms and real state agents but since I was coming for the first time in France, I trusted EDHEC's partner agency.
- My rent was 515 euros for a room of 10 square meters. Living in Croix or Roubaix(near to EDHEC campus), the rent can vary from 400-700 euros. I had my private room with a private bathroom but the kitchen was shared among 8 people.( you can have a studio also for a private kitchen too).
- The challenge one could face is getting electricity connection start as you have to communicate in French with the operator. Some partners do it for you but it’s not always the case. My recommendation would be live in or near the campus as you have to go everyday.
- Living in Lille city can be more attractive but daily travel would be tiring. I loved inside the campus so it was not the issue(tip: if you want to stay in campus residence, apply early).

Likes
- Multiple subjects on offer. Strong curriculum with a lot of group and individual projects
- International environment
- Great professors
Dislikes
- Located little far from the city center
- Food options are not that great according to Indian standards
- Not too many associations we can be a part of because of French language barrier
Placement
- First of all the system is not like India where there are no campus placements. the companies will come to the college but you have to go to the network and make sure you connect with them later outside the campus so that you increase your probability to get an interview. T
- here are no fixed companies who come and hire students unlike India you have to work while LinkedIn another job portals and apply the career center is really helpful and they will guide you with this once you are in a EDHEC
- In campus accommodation for the first year and the monthly rent was around 550€. EDHEC will help you if you choose to stay on campus but for the second year of Masters you are not allowed to stay there.
- You can only stay off campus and I stayed in Roubaix, 20 mins walk to the campus. The rent was ~500€. I would recommend for students to stay in campus for 1st year and off campus in Roubaix/Croix or Lille in the 2nd year
- Beware of the scams and make sure you ask what all in inclusive before finalizing the accommodation

Likes
- Very supportive and helping Career center, providing range of support from helping you with your Cv, to hosting various career fairs from different Industries like Luxury, tech, gaming to help you interact with industry experts right on campus
- Very Helpful International Student Office, helping you right from the beginning you have your admissions confirmed to everything while you are as a student and even afterwards. They helped me out right from Visa, visa renewal and even contacting prefecture on behalf of me for multiple occasions. They are like your "Go-to support system" for literally everything like which sim to get, which housing agency are good which are not, what areas to look like everything you can possibly think of.
- Very good academic and practical learning blend of coursework where each and every course your study is involved with a industry case study or project where you basically work with industry experts to solve real world problems. One such i did was with Amazon to solve the problem of "how to increase young people under 25 age to drive to the amazon france website and shop more there"
Dislikes
- The language barrier is something one should work, I know this is not specific to the college but is more specific to France so I suggest anyone who is coming must start learning French and especially the ability to converse
- There is nothing to be disliked about in my experience and it has been very positive for me so far with all the first year and gap year internships so for me France and EDHEC has been a very learning experience and growing as a person.
Placement
- There is no number with me right now as I am still in the course but usually almost all seniors of mine found employment within 6 months of graduation and some right when they were in second semester.
- Average salary in CDI = 35k (to expect) it can be higher
- Usually students find jobs through Linkedin, career fairs organised by Edhec, Alumni network which is very strong and welcome to jungle.
- All major companies hire graduates from Edhec like Clearstream, BNP paribas, Loreal, Microsoft, Apple, Backmarket, BCG etc etc
- The international Student office helped us find the accommodation as EDHEC has dedicated platform to help students find the accommodation very easily
- They also helped us to make sure that the house we are renting is genuine and not fake or if the area is good to live or not. So, basically there was not so much of a challenge to find the housing.
- I lived on campus and it was a sharing accommodation in which the kitchen was shared between 8 people but you have your own room and private bathroom. You can also choose studio on campus.
- Most Indian usually prefer to stay on campus during first year and later on in M2 year they live outside in city. Also, the rooms on campus are only allotted to students coming for first time to EDHEC.

Likes
- Great environment and location for masters students
- A good mix of international students from diverse backgrounds
- Amazing professors and mentors who led the program
Dislikes
- A very short program compared to most masters. Out of the 18 months 6 months is basically the internship period.
- Quite hectic for this program as most courses are completed quickly.
- Less time to spend with each subject with the workload.
Placement
- As I have just completed my internship stage and now am in the full time job hunt I can inform you about the internship process.
- majority I would say 90% secured an internship in our batch.
- The average salary was 1000 euros monthly.
- Mosts students find jobs through linkedin or connecting to people with similar positions as the student is searching for. There are other websites too but linkedin is the most popular of course.
- The process ideally should be started half way through the 1st semester. It is not easy for English speaking students with no fluency to find internships. But internships are easier to acquire as the contract in france is a try party contract for most internships and all companies require the university to provide the same.
- EDHEC also has an online job portal on job teaser and conducts online job fairs to meet with companies tied to the university.
- For full time opportunities it is more difficult currently as French fluency is a must in Paris and around Paris.
- 4 students from my batch were placed in amazon Luxembourg which I would say was one of the best placements in out batch with 3500 euros ar the monthly salary.
- The experience was mainly through a contact on LinkedIn from amazon who was happy to talk about his experience at amazon.
- referrals at bigger companies was a must most of them got this internship through a referral and conversion at the end of 6 months happened for 2 out of 4 of them.
- In full time positions everyone from my batch who are non French are still searching for jobs currently as the visa process is also a whole other topic and not easy to tackle here,
- But students from the MIM track which is 3 year program with one gap year for internships. One has secured a position in Ireland with apple as he has more experience in Europe.
- I opted for off campus accommodation 20 mins by walk from campus.
- I found it through the edhec accommodation portal which is provided to every student.
- monthly rent for 540 with 99 reimbursed in rent support.
- I honestly did not face difficulties to find as this portal made it very easy.
- First you fill out your request and the international student office connects you to the landlord.
- I would say definitely speak to existing students as everyone faced different issues with landlords and security deposit issues.
- The campus being not so large it is better to live in the city as it is very accessible. If you want to stay close of course look for nearby hostels and accommodation. Honestly all the information is provided by the admin like which areas to avoid and look into.
- Most of the Indians I knew stayed near campus or on campus. Mine was just a 20 min walk from campus in the town names Croix which is a very quiet and calm area in lille.

Likes
- Great campus, the campus is large with ground and a separate sport building for every sport, including a big swimming pool and a gym.
- Good faculty and teachers are highly qualified.
- Has a good brand name in all of France.
Dislikes
- Doesn't has direct campus recruitments rather has events that help to meet recruiters
- College associations have a majority of French students that makes it difficult of international students to get into.
- The campus is around 12 KM far from the main big city Lille.
Placement
- As you know the current market is down right now so finding is a job is very competitive right now. You have to apply to many jobs everyday to get some callbacks. Usually people get internships but it is quite hard to directly get a full time role. 80% students do get an internship.
- Average salary is around 1200-1300 euros per month for an internship and for full time role it is 40-45,000 euros per annum.
- Usually through recruitment events but the ratio is less, mostly get through online applying to job platforms.
- Roles depends on your course and finding job is quite hard due to language barrier.
- Mostly big companies like Amazon, Renault, Back Market and mainly all big French companies.
- For accommodation Edhec helps all the students send a pdf to students that have the details of all the accommodations with rent and photos and every detail. Edhec has its international Students Office (ISO) that is very helpful and helps in everything so finding an accommodation is very easy.
- My monthly rent is 490 euros but in France you get a housing allowance from the government that is CAF and some part of the rent is sent back to you. A separate room with a shared kitchen and shared washroom and a washing machine.
- For me it was very easy because of ISO. It was very simple process and I already had an accommodation booked before coming here.
- I will recommend if someone wants ease and doesn't wants to walk too much then they should consider in campus residence, otherwise if they are okay with walking everyday to college then they can consider staying outside the campus as in that you can make international friends as well and you get much more liberty.
- My accommodation is 1.5 KM from the campus and most of the Indian students either stay on the campus or they stay not more than 2KM radius from the college.
