  • The difficulty is average. It highly depends on the quality of students in the batch. The goal of the programme is to get students ready for the CFA Level 1 exam in a year. It is, of course, a little more complex than that, and I missed out on a few subjects. It is a mix of practical case studies and financial theory.
  • It is a sort of a backburner course. It is not specialised and does not get the best students or the best treatment. It is basic, general, and too short for anyone to get specialised in anything. The attention of the administration on the prospects of this course is less.
  • However, the school facilities, the quality of professors, and the educational content itself are pretty good. No complaints on the quality of education. Do not expect too much just because it is named exactly like ESSEC and HEC name their flagship course. This is not a flagship.
  • Max classes are 2 per day. In extreme circumstances, there can be 3 a day. Often, there is only one a day. Rarely, there are none on a certain day. Timings are usually 9-12 and 2-5. Some classes can be 5-7pm as well or 8-11am.
  • Including exchange students, it is close to 80 in the first 2 semesters. In the last 2, it drops down to 25-30 per class because the specialisation is taught separately. 5% indians. In my class, there were 6 Indians.

Fees

  • Tuition is 28000 (24000 after scholarship). It is annual
  • Residences range from 150 per month to 600 per month. 30% reimbursed approx. by the government.
  • Transport for trams and busses is 192 per year (subsidized cost for students)
  • Assume a living expense of 650 per month when saving or 1000 per month to live very well. With 1000, you can take international vacations and eat out.
  • The cheapest you can stay for is less than 500 with a small room at CROUS and buying subsidised groceries from their market.

  • Course structure was quite easy. There were many projects that we had to do which in my opinion made learning more fun.
  • There were around 4-6 hours of classes everyday depending upon the schedule.
  • There were around 70-80 Indian students in my program in the batch of 800 students.
  • There are typically 45 students in one class and sometimes divided into two depending on the course.

Fees

  • So the fee structure is semester wise. For the first semester, it was 15000 euros, followed by 12500 euros for next two semesters. Hostel or accommodation fees are not included in this fee structure. Accommodation can vary up to 450 euros to 900 euros on where you live.
  • My monthly expenses approximately were 500 euros for rent, 50-75 euros for transport, 100-120 for groceries and 50-70 euros for miscellaneous activities.

  • Coming from India I don't think the course level is very difficult, it is quite manageable. I would say it is a nice mix of group projects and individual projects and the good thing about that is that you have to work with a team which are all international students which function differently from you which is a good experience.
  • Usually there are on an average one or two classes a day but every 1.5-2 months you have one and a half weeks of holidays. total number of students are around 80 and t and Indians in one class is around 10 overall course it is 900 students and Indians around 100.

Fees

  • The total tuition fees was around 40,000 euros and I got a scholarship of 25% also I got a scholarship of the French government it is the Eiffel excellence scholarship.
  • Regarding the stay and living in France including the rent I think around 750 Euros to 900 euros will be your monthly average spend including everything but excluding the trips and travel plans you have

  • The course curriculum is very easy to follow and everything is available online and is accessible. the course is very well mixed of Academic and Practical.
  • You get to learn all the fields of Management in the first year which is good as it gives you a good idea of all fields and make a conscious decision on which field you want to specialise in into your M2 year.

Fees

  • Tuition fees = 44 800 Euros for the whole course to be paid in 4 instalments
  • Living expenses per year = 6500 euros which includes living and food for me. it is highly dependent on one's lifestyle but on an average this is the number that most people fall under when coming here.
  • Monthly expense = 650 euros per month including rent and food expenses that you incur during the month.

  • The course was more theoretical than practical. The practical part would be the coding practice from each course. It would be one of the more difficult MSCs offer at EDHEC.

  • As there is quite a bit of content to be discussed in a program for data analytics, the first set consisted of basics like python, statistics and machine learning.

  • POSITIVE ASPECTS
    - We had an amazing professor who took statistics and data mining for us. He was also my thesis mentor and loved by all students.
    - Classes were quite engaging.
    - The second semester has both a specialisation period and a personalisation period which was great for all students.
    - This encouraged students to explore other msc topics and interact with other students.
    - The Option Of Doing A Certificate or educational trip or 5 of your favourite courses was a good 2 months.

  • NEGATIVE
    - Less time per course as we had 6 sessions of 3 hours each and a course was done. This made it hard for the professor and students to      complete.
    - Machine learning was taken by a lesser experienced professor and every student faced issues in the course. But this was dealt with well by the program director.
    - The course could have been extended to a full 18 months and then internship to really engage students better. Technically we spent 7 months on campus and the rest working on online courses and the thesis also which was all online including the final presentation.

Fees

  • The total was around 21,000 euros taken in 3 deposits.
  • First one before the start of the year one in between and one by December.
  • Tuition - 21000
  • Hostel - depends on the accommodation you choose.
  • I chose to live off campus and paid 540 euros per month all charges included.
  • France offers rent support for students and young professionals and the international office helps us with this too. Once set up depending on the residence type and if it is studio or home shared each student receives monthly support from the CAF organisation.
  • I received 99 euros per month.
  • Living charges obviously vary from person to person but for essentials and grocery it would come around 40 euros per week
  • In the first week edhec helps students set up a bank account where 80 euros is given to each student when opening an account.
  • For public transport edhec also provides a service to set up your card and it is upto the student to subscribe monthly or not. This was 35 euros per month.
  • Monthly expenses including rent can be between 1000 euros to 1500 euros.

  • I would say that my course is a bit technical so its not that easy. It is a mix of both practical assignments as well as the theory exams.
  • According to a business school I expected the course to be less technical and more business oriented but it is more technical and very less business oriented.

Fees

  • The full tuition fee for the course was 26000 euros for the entire course.
  • For me it was divided into 3 installments: 6500, 9750 and 9750. I paid 6500 as the first non-refundable scholarship from India and the second 1 month after coming and the other after 4 months that was the end of 1st semester and the beginning of 2nd.
  • The rent depends on the place you live. If you live in a KOT that is personal room with an attached washroom but a shared kitchen with 6 people then it is 525 euros including electricity. If you live in a studio that has a personal kitchen it is 545 euros with approx. 40-60 euros for the electricity bill that is separate. If you live in a house with a landlord then it can be 400-450 euros per month. If you live in a shared house or student residencies then it can be 450-550 euros some have electricity included and some doesn't have. Student residencies do have breakfast included and the campus residencies as well.
