Solution and Explanation
Consider x as the number of hours for regular work and y for overtime work.
We can establish two equations:
\(x+y=172........(1) \)
\(114y=\frac{15}{100}×57x......(2)\)
Upon solving these equations, we find \(x = 160\) and \(y = 12.\)
Therefore, the overtime work amounts to 12 hours.
