Solution and Explanation

The speed of transverse wave on the string will 
be, \(v=\sqrt{\frac{T}{m}}\)
\(v=\sqrt{\frac{0.25}{1\times10^{-6}}}\)
\(v = 500 \,m/sec\) 
and 
\(v = f \lambda\) 
So, \(\lambda=\frac{500}{250}\)
\(\lambda=2\) m 
Distance between two consecutive nodes is given by, 
\(=\frac{\lambda}{2}=1\) m
So, the correct option is (B) : 1 m.
