Directions: Study the following information carefully and answer the questions given below. Following are the criteria required to be fulfilled to gain admission into any engineering college in Tamil Nadu.
i) The candidate should have secured at least 60% marks in HSC or 50% marks in CBSE.
ii) a) The candidate should have pass in HSC with academic subjects namely Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together with a minimum average percent are only eligible to apply. (or) b) A pass in any one of the HSC vocational subjects with any one of the Engineering related subjects namely Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry with a minimum average percent are also eligible to apply.
iii) The candidate should be a resident of Tamil Nadu i.e., the candidate who have passed XI and XII std. in Tamil Nadu.
iv) The candidate should have secured at least 60% marks in the entrance exam. A) At i) above, but the candidate has good sports record, the candidate is admitted under sports quota. B) At iii) above, but their parents or guardians have been serving in Tamil Nadu continuously for the past five years at the time of admissions.
They are also eligible to apply and the candidates are admitted under other state quota. In each question below details of one candidate is given. You have to take one of the following course of action based on the information provided and the conditions and sub- conditions given above and mark the number of that course of action as your answer. You are not to assume anything other than the information provided in each question. All these cases are given to you as on 01.10.2017.
