The University of South Wales's MBA Global programme is a two-year MBA that offers you the opportunity to gain up to ten months work experience with companies in the UK and overseas.

The MBA Global offers specialist pathways in Finance, HRM, Supply Chain Management, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. It builds on a strong ethos of helping managers and leaders solve complex business problems while developing professionals who will make a strategic difference within the context of their organisations.

It will develop your leadership and strategic thinking skills, including the ability to  build successful teams and navigate growth within an uncertain, resource-constrained and competitive business environment. You will gain insights into how to prepare, plan and react efficiently to a rapidly changing business world.

During the course you will enjoy an extracurricular programme – Global Choices - that includes masterclasses with leading figures from the spheres of business and government. This course will equip students with a theoretical understanding and practical experience of applying methods drawn from data science and analytics. You will develop a range of in-demand skills for extracting and handling ‘big data’ and applying modelling tools to help businesses and government organisations make better decisions.

On completion of the course, you will be well placed to progress into a variety of roles in data-intensive industries or a related research career.

This one-year degree falls under the umbrella of the Data Science Academy (DSA), run by the School of Computer Science and Informatics, in partnership with the School of Mathematics. You will benefit from the shared knowledge and skills of both Schools. However, your degree will still be run by the School of Mathematics. 


Data science is rapidly emerging in organisations and the need for fully trained data scientists, analysts and programmers are in demand now more than ever. Businesses rely on big data to uncover hidden patterns and unknown correlations to make informed decisions and drive business success. On the Data Science course, you will learn how to apply high-level analytical skills and knowledge to solve a range of real-world problems.

The MSc Data Science is designed to support your development of transferable skills and expertise to play a leading role at a technical and practical level in the industry. Additionally, you will work towards a globally recognised qualification, the SAS Joint Certificate in Applied Statistics and Data Mining.
