Focusing from the strategic, operational, and technical perspectives of security within an organisation, our MSc Cyber Security covers all aspects of Cyber Physical Systems including network and communication infrastructure, end devices, applications, systems, data and security concerns from all these aspects.


Cyber Security course allows students to familiarise themselves with the most recent technologies, scientific innovations and best practice in protecting digital infrastructures, from enterprise networks to Internet of Things environments. Students are also trained on modern tools and methodologies for conducting digital forensics investigations, spanning the whole range from the collection of evidence to analysis and acting as expert witnesses.

This course is suitable for both newcomers to computer security and computer forensics and practitioners who wish to further their skills. It covers practical skills for network security, penetration testing and digital forensics, as well as the theory and scientific basis that underpins everyday practice. It also ensures that students have a basic understanding of the legal and regulatory requirements and the standards pertaining to computer security.

Admission Criteria/Better to Have

Applicants will normally hold a first or second class honours degree in a computing discipline. Candidates with degrees in other disciplines but with relevant experience will also be considered. Such candidates will normally have worked for 3 or more years at a responsible level in an area closely related to the academic discipline to be studied.


Four year bachelor degree with a minimum of 65% in Final Year (However, if graduating from one of the top universities: Mumbai University, Savitribai Phule Pune University (Pune University), Calcutta University, Delhi University, Bangalore University and Madras University; a minimum of 50% in final year is required)

The four main campuses of the Anglia Ruskin Universities address is  in Cambridge, Chelmsford, Peterborough, and London. The flagship Cambridge campus of the University is home to high-tech clinical skills labs which also include mock hospital areas. The main highlight of the Riverside campus is the School of Medicine. The Chelmsford campus boasts its Queen's building, opened by the Queen herself.


Greenwich Campus sits on a UNESCO World Heritage Site on the banks of the River Thames. 

The beautiful baroque buildings on campus were designed for the Royal Navy at the end of the 17th century by Sir Christopher Wren, who also designed St Paul’s Cathedral.

They have a huge online collection of e-journals, e-books and databases, and they're all available 24/7.

During semesters, our campus libraries in Cambridge and Chelmsford stay open 24 hours during main assessment periods and in each library you'll find a significant collection of course-relevant materials. There are plenty of study spaces, including group work zones, silent study areas, multimedia playback, networked PCs, wireless connectivity, and standard IT applications.

And, while the library in Peterborough is a little smaller, if you're studying there you won't miss out. In the Reading Room you'll find spaces for quiet individual study and networked PCs, with comfortable areas for group work spread throughout the University House building. You'll have access to e-books and other online resources for your course via your reading list.

All in all, they have everything you need to make your study time with them as enjoyable and as easy as possible.


The Library has purchased over 137,000 electronic books (ebooks) available for students and staff to read (and in some cases to download) online via different publisher platforms. Over 13,650 titles are available in the Ebook Central platform and over 2,000 in VleBooks.


Campus Life
