This specialisation in this one-year (12 month) full-time MScBA study programme teaches you to understand, solve and communicate operational, tactical and strategic challenges from data in organisations.

What these challenges have in common is their complexity. They need advanced analytics – but the results can be extremely valuable for business. Your instructors each have their own expertise in particular business and management domains and will train you to apply your analytical skills in each domain. You learn through hands-on workshops and in-depth training to detect patterns and trends. You will find the causal relationships when you tackle real-life business problems in the business world. This specialisation of our MScBA programme also benefits from the ‘intellectual engine’ that is the Erasmus Centre for Data Analytics Opens externalat RSM; its network of companies and the on-campus Data Lab provide a rich environment for you to develop your skills and knowledge.

The curriculum is a combination of analytics, business and computer science. Providing you with all the crucial knowledge and (leadership) skills to succeed in an increasingly digitalised and globalised world. The curriculum is specifically designed to help you develop into a knowledgeable big data expert. After earning your MBA title you are able to do hands-on work as well as lead data-intensive projects, departments and businesses.

In order to be eligible for this master programme, you need to hold a (BSc) degree or an undergraduate degree that is comparable in level with a academic bachelor degree obtained at a Dutch research university

• Participants require an academic Bachelor's or Master’s degree and a quantitative or business background, f.e. engineering, economics, accounting, business, psychology, mathematics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, etc.
• A minimum of 3 years of relevant post-graduate work experience
• You need a minimum GMAT score of 630 and a minimum analytical writing score of approximately 4.0

The programme will prepare you for a position in, for example, a financial institution, a corporation, a consultancy, your own start-up, a government project, or an NGO. You will learn from world-class academics specialising in finance, and from leading practitioners.

Thus, you can earn your master’s degree and prepare for the CFA® Level I exam within one academic year – another step on your way to becoming a financial analyst, portfolio/risk manager, or consultant.

And because RSM is also an Academic Partner of the Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst Association (CAIA), your curriculum can be part of your preparation for CAIA exams as you learn strategies and practice for alternative investments that can be applied to hedge funds, real estate, or private equity.
