- boiler operations (high and low pressure)
- computer monitoring of plant operations
- controls and instrumentation

- equipment checks and maintenance
- pump operations and water treatment systems
- The program combines classroom learning with hands-on labs, power labs, computer simulations, and industry work experiences.
- It is a 72 weeks program that includes two work experiences.
- Students also get the opportunity to do the certification course program.
- Students can work as a power engineer or process operator in utility (power) plants, refineries, pulp, and paper mills, breweries, mines, gas processing plants, heavy oil upgraders, etc.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must complete Grade 12 with Foundations of Math 30 or Pre-Calculus 30 from a recognized college or institution.
- Students hold a minimum overall average of 65%.
- Students must have a GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale.
