Course Curriculum:

My university has good curriculum it is quite up to date with the job market specially in the computer science courses.

Fees:

19000 dollar for 2 semesters.

academic: 7/10
faculty: 8/10
infrastructure: 7/10
accomodation: 7/10
placement: 8/10

  • Dislikes:
  • The professors in Abbotsford Campus are very below average. They don't focus on actual learning, but just somehow finishing the courses and moving on to the next one. Out of the 20 courses I did in Abbotsford Campus, I only learned something new in maybe 2 or 3 courses. All the other courses were absolutely a waste of time. Even in a very practical course, they'll read off of a powerpoint presentation, without teaching anything practical or useful. Even the exams were useless. I don't think I learned anything that directly translated into my professional life.

Course Curriculum:

A few classes were relevant and useful. Over 70% of the classes were useless. I could have learned what they taught me in a whole semester in a week of self studying. No real industrial exposure either.

Fees:

Chandigarh campus was around 450,000INR for a year. (2 semester = 10 courses) Abbotsford Campus (Canada) was around 2000$ per course. 10,000$ per semester.

Course Curriculum:

The course syllabus is expanded and practical, far better than rote learning. It allows you to work outside and on campus, which helps you build connections and get exposure.

Fees:

It is INR 12 lakhs or CAD 20000 for one year. However, the fees go semester-wise.

  • Dislikes:
  • The campus is very small and some subjects are very hard. Moreover unlike Indian colleges where you have to pay a fine and reattempt the paper if you fail a subject, you have to spend 4 months and huge sums of money (depending on the course fee) to redo the exam

Course Curriculum:

Yes, the college gives you internship opportunities with a variety of different people.

Fees:

In my course which is BCIS the fee for 1 semester is (3.18 Lakh rupees).

academic: 9/10

Course Curriculum:

It is up to date . The professors are from the respective fields, one of my professors is a parole officer , so she can also tell us real life experiences too.

Fees:

It was around 11 lakhs for the first year

Course Curriculum:

The Canadian course is easier than the one that they have in India especially in Computers. The ones that I am studying is far better than the Indian curriculum. In India, a Commerce student can?t really think about pursuing computer science. But, here I have friends who are from Commerce background and are doing really well in my course. Because, in this course, we are only taught about Mathematics and Statistics which are the only things required to access in this field. So, I think the pressure is easy and it is good for each and every type of student.

Fees:

$630 per credit

Course Curriculum:

Our university's syllabus is up to date and is refreshed every semester. We get a time table and the books schedule like 2 3 weeks prior our beginning of new semester classes.

I initially took admission in UFV India and then I took transfer to UFV, Canada. One of the reasons was easy transfer to Canadian campus. Also it is ranked well in Canada.

Course Curriculum:

We have learnt many relevant and important lessons in our course. The main focus is on applied learning. We get many assignments in which we need to go out in the market and meet managers of different companies and talk with them. We are taken out for an industrial visit occasionally to give more exposure about the business environment.

One of the branch of UFV was in Chandigarh, so we could transfer to Canada after completing 2 years of our degree.
