My Langara Journey

AS
8.8 /10

Location was one of the main reasons for me to choose Langara as it is the heart of Vancouver which is a mix of nature and downtown providing you ample opportunities to explore. The campus is well connected with transit and it is accessible to reach other places faster. It has students across the globe making it a great place to connect and explore new cultures under one roof. Langara college to me was a home away from home. The diverse campus in Langara gave me an amazing opportunity to make friends across the globe. It made me more adaptive, confident than I was before. My overall experience at Langara was a roller coaster ride full of adventure, fun and lots of learning.

Course Curriculum :

Yes, The course curriculum was up to the mark as it had co-op term in the end which allows students to work full time in the last semester in a program where they get industry exposure and practice approach to use the skills and knowledge gained during the course. It is the best way to expand your network and further boost your resume.

Exams :

- IELTS with min 6.5 bands in each module is mandatory for PDD courses in Canada. I scored 7.5 overall in my IELTS. Validity is two years. - BCA 3.7 GPA , Christ University Bangalore - Class 12th: 92% PCM, CBSE - Class 10th: 9.4 CGPA, CBSE - For Langara College, I had to submit SOP and 2 Letter of recommendation from professors or work. - Interview Round: No

Placement :

Companies like TD Bank, BMO and Scotia hire most of the students after PDD in customer support sector and finance.

Internship :

I worked as a Cash Auditor with Sobeys during my co-op program.

Fees :

Tuition Fee: CAD 25000

Faculty :

I had many Indian professors too in my marketing course Mr. Bhatia and Anna Gupta. They were very well equipped with the latest trends in the industry and teaching methodologies. Students individualized attention, class size is generally 20-25 students which provides a better learning environment and academic support.

Campus Life :

The campus has modern facilities and technology required today. There are computer labs, student rooms, library and group study rooms in the library which students can book to prepare for group presentations.

Hostel :

I lived in a shared house with other students near the campus. The accommodation wasn’t provided by the college.
