What Students Say
Likes
- The program is very future oriented and focuses on the demands of tomorrow. It is made to prepare you ahead of time.
- Very open minded approach to a bachelors degree. Hands on experience, no exams rather a client-oriented report. Quite demanding but a worthy experience. Plenty of volunteer experience available if you are proactive.
- The gym facility is top of line everything you need is there. The food is so-so. Could do better but still a good option nonetheless. There’s places where you connect with nature. A lagoon in-house. Beautiful sunsets and lots of culture. It is built on the lands of Xyspuem and Lekwagaon lands. (Sorry if I butchered the spelling) much love! It is an experience that’s what I can say.
Dislikes
- The location is a bit odd and far. Away from city but very pretty as well. Blessing and a curse.
Required Exams for Admission
It is quite an experience, you have to be prepared at all times. It tries you mentally and physically. There is an excitement. You need to feel it to understand I think.
Course Curriculum
It is somewhat relevant. Yes to industrial exposure and research experience. A lot of these two. That’s what we basically did the whole time.
Faculty
The faculty is amazing, you need to sit down and talk with them. They need to know you to help you. That’s the rule. You can’t expect him to know and check up on you. It is a good system, pushes people who are quiet to reach out and talk.
Campus Life
Campus life is bless. They have everything it’s in walking distance. The whole campus has wifi. Excluding the parking lot. Library is big and cute.
Placement
Placement you have figure out on your own. The university doesn’t really provide resources. There might be resources and job boards but it’s limited.
Accommodation
Accommodation is a bit dicey. You need to connect with people on Facebook. They use a lot of Facebook marketplace for renting rooms. Kjiji is another search engine for rentals. Both are good. You will find 1 bed 1 bath ads in your location of choice. And message them. For women only rooms it’s slightly cheaper. You just need spend time on a laptop, talk to people. Join local housing groups.
Exams
Just IELTS, try and aim to get above 7.0 in all. 4 sections. It’s quite easy, if you are fluent. and a physical exam for visa purposes. You have to do one sop for visa, if your points in ielts are low. LORs are always good to have. And start building RESUME!! it is not required but please start building for future. I didn’t give an interview. I just had mine process.
Fees
42000 CAD in total for 2 years.
