The main reason I chose Trent is that they offered me a scholarship for free tuition. At the time I applied for post-secondary schools I believed I wanted to be far away from home. When it came time to choose though, this ended up being the closest school I had applied to and that was one of the reasons I chose it.
Course Curriculum :
I'm extremely interested in the purse options. I find that the course load is manageable for the most part, but compared to other degrees it can be quite heavy at times. I would prefer different class availabilities and time offerings.
Fees :
In the first year, residence and meal plans were extremely expensive. However, I receive free tuition which is incredibly helpful as tuition costs continue to rise. Additionally, buying a parking pass or parking ticket at the school is extremely expensive and doesn't even guarantee you will have a place to park at the school.
Scholarship :
Yes, I have free tuition as my average is over 90%. I didn't need to apply for this, it was automatically given to me when I applied and contributed through my undergrad as long as I keep my average the same.
Examination Structure :
Midterm exams are very stressful, as there are still classes occurring and other assignments. Final exams are less stressful I find, as I'm able to solely focus on studying for exams. Exams tend to be weighted a lot too (30-45%) in some classes, which is so stressful and can make or break your grade.
Faculty :
I find that they are personable and most are always willing to help. The majority want you to truly succeed and help in any way they can. They're accompanying and supportive.
