Course Curriculum:

Most of the subjects are not even related to the Major Course, but it's because of education system in Canada, not College.

Fees:

$37000 CAD

academic: 8/10
faculty: 8/10
infrastructure: 6/10
accomodation: 4/10
placement: 1/10

Course Curriculum:

I have to accept that the curriculum somewhere didn't meet my expectations. I personally think that the program is a bit more hyped than required. The good thing was the cut down on math when compared to other schools in BC but the data structures and algorithms are mostly same as other universities. When it comes to relevance, yes the course content will be useful for someone to make a beginning leap in the field of CS.

Columbia is one of the cheapest schools in Vancouver. An associate degree allows me to save money that i can put in the future for my bachelors at universities such as SFU or UBC. Columbia also has a good amount of international students ( mostly Indian). Columbia college also had a pretty chilled out schedule with about 3 days a week of classes during my 1st and 2nd sem which was great for any international student working to earn a living.

Fees:

Fee structure as being an international student is always expensive. New students have had a 2-semester fee which is about10000$ already registered with the institution otherwise they are not allowed to join. And then they must pay their fee within 24 hours of registration to every class during the new semester or they will be deregistered through the semester which seems like a stupid rule.

Columbia College is located in the heart of Vancouver near the science world which is a perfect place for school and easy to commute. This college has provided me with the perfect opportunity to explore myself and what do I really want to major in. I have also heard the stories of this college in my own city seven seas away. It is a little expensive for the internationals but I would say the experience is worth it for sure.
