Chemical engineering at RMIT combines engineering science, design, and practice. RMIT’s programs are well-recognized by the industry, so your qualifications can take you anywhere in Australia or around the world. You'll learn to turn raw materials into products like pharmaceuticals, petrol, plastics, and food; and find ways to make the processing industries more efficient and environmentally sound. RMIT’s well-equipped laboratories give you practical experience and prepare you for the workforce.
The School of Engineering has excellent laboratory facilities for rheology, materials characterization, polymer processing, and water quality and treatment. We also have facilities for the conduct of lab and pilot scale investigations which are complemented by a comprehensive range of general and specialist analytical equipment. You will also have the opportunity to use RMIT’s state-of-the-art, multi-million dollar MicroNano Research Facility.
