- Examine how natural processes and their changes impact human society, and how human activities interact with and modify environments. This multidisciplinary degree focuses on understanding, monitoring and improving the environment.
- Understand the components of the earth system: atmosphere, biosphere, hydrosphere and geosphere
- Appreciate the potential environmental consequences of global environmental and climate changes
- No background in science required, just an inquiring mind
- Recognise major environmental issues at the global, national and local scales
- Undertake basic data analysis to identify relationships and trends between environmental variables
- Expand your knowledge, obtain skills, and learn critical thinking about environmental issues and problems.
- The course is designed to provide students with an understanding of environmental processes, environmental systems, and environmental management.
- Students may also undertake some study of specific environmental problems, research methods, geographical information systems, and environmental economics, philosophy or politics.
- The course is international in scope, but case study material will draw especially on the experience of Australia and other countries within the Asia-Pacific region.

- A masters degree with a research component from an Australian university or its equivalent.
- The equivalent of an Australian bachelors degree with second class honours or better undertaken in the field of study students intend to pursue in their proposed masters program.
