I heard from my friends that it had a great reputation both academically and socially. This made me interested in pursuing this course at this university and making it my first choice when I was choosing colleges.
Course Curriculum :
Aligned with industry practice as all core units are set to be the law council of Western Australia to ensure a minimum level of knowledge in particular areas. There's also a wide variety of optional units available to explore interests in specialized fields.
Exams :
Western Australian certificate of education. No other university-level exam required for entrance into this course.
Placement :
It varies according to a variety of factors. For example, levels of academic achievement, grades earned, connections in the industry and the specialty field that one wishes to pursue upon graduation.
Internship :
No there is no internship available at present. This may be offered in the future as an option unit. Therefore I am unable to provide details on my overall experience and stipend with an internship at the present time.
Events :
Beginning and end of semester parties, career days, awareness weeks, stress less week, mentor schemes. There are also cultural and religious groups that organize events based upon the interests that they have.
Fees :
All fees can be fully deferred for payment after graduation. There is also amenities and services fee.
Scholarship :
No, I have not availed any scholarship or financial aid opportunities. Most require a written submission.
Examination Structure :
The exam structure varies from unit to unit. I almost have a theory essay component that requires a critique and evaluation of the present state of the law and suggestions for improvement. There are also problem questions that involve answering a hypothetical legal situation to advise a hypothetical client.
Faculty :
Inclusive of all students. Staff is always willing to assist students with any questions and most show a genuine interest in and passion for the subjects they teach.
Hostel :
I have not lived at any of these places so I cannot comment on this. Accommodation is a short walk to campus. I also do not know any students who live at these facilities so I do not know what the experience is.
