Required Exams for Admission

PTE (79)

Course Curriculum

10

  • They revise the courses regularly based on the market, yes i was awarded with an internship and its not for all, you need to apply through college, only successful people are awarded in this program.
  • 18-20 students

Admission Experience

  • Great scholarships, experienced faculty with great programs, flexibility towards choosing your course.
  • My PTE score is 79/90, i had a prior working experience and i had 96% in my schooling and intermediate, i had 85% in my btech.

Faculty

10

  • For every faculty there would be 14-18 students, they are very helpful in terms of explaining the queries, also it depends on a student how do we approach faculty and how do we utilise their knowledge.

Campus Life

10

  • There is only 1 campus in Melbourne, it was always busy with event and there are lots of clubs every other day celebrating, i was with dance club and i enjoyed it as a form of fitness too.
  • I was part of Swinburne student union, which gave me leverage to enjoy the student library benefits.

Part Time Jobs

  • Considering Australian work culture and part time culture: students can ear typically $21 per hour, word of mouth and seek, indeed are the best ways to apply for jobs, max work hours 48 hrs per fortnight or 24 hrs per week, campus part time jobs are limited to citizens/ PR holders, might not be available to students, unless you are eligible to work for 40 hours per week, students are not eligible for those jobs, as they are allowed to work only 24 hrs per week.

Placement

10

  • I have seen almost 50% of the students got placed in a month, and another 25% by end of 3 months, till date i could see 80% are placed.
  • The average salary expectations are different in different categories, for example for a person with good technical knowledge can expect better packages, i would say for a fresher then can expect 56k-75k per annum.
  • The best way to find a job is by starting their networking through LinkedIn, best place to find jobs are SEEK and INDEED, the are the major sites to find a job.
  • Campus recruitments and drives are common in India but not in Australia, they are limited to few universities.
  • I would suggest any graduate to be as active as possible, because Australia respects culture over anything else, a person with right culture and expectations with addition of knowledge and hardwork is choosen more often, is what i have grasped through mu experiences.

Accommodation

Off Campus
10

  • For my accommodation, i stayed with my friends from India, it costed me AUD 350-400 per month, AUD 150-200 for bills inclusive of water, gas, electricity, mobile plans, wifi, it always varies with number of people staying in the house.

Exams

  • I took PTE, IELTS is also acceptable, SOP, LOR, CV are necessary along with English test scores.

Fees

  • $48,000 AUD excluding my living expenses and scholarships, but the fees are not the same.
