I had some friends in Latrobe, also Latrobe is a good university in Australia as it is one of the tops. I myself wanted to pursue my studies at a good university that could help me explore things that I had not explored before. Plus its main branch is in Melbourne where the cost of living is lower than in Sydney. These are the reasons to choose Latrobe University.
Course Curriculum :
However, I had high hopes for the course. I was disappointed in the end. I felt like the course was not that deep and it didn't really teach me anything that I could use after the course. It doesn't help me to get the job. Maybe it all depends on the reason behind choosing Australia for the Master's. Everyone chooses it for different reasons. I myself chose it for the good life. Which disappointed me in the end, to be honest.
Exams :
Specific courses require specific IELTS scores or PTE. You can check it on the website of the university. They display it under every course, also your graduation score or GPA must be above 6 for you to get the scholarship.
Placement :
Australia is hard to find a job because of its small population and small country. Most of the jobs prefer Australian citizenship which is why it is difficult for any fresher to get a job after the course. You have to build your own network inside the college in order to get a job, which was really hard for me to say personally. Because building a network with people who can help me get a job is really difficult for me in places like Australia. You must be very good at networking.
Internship :
No, there were some personal issues and pandemic was running when i was graduating . So it was so hard to get any, no universities will offer any placements , all we have to do is to search and apply.
Events :
The campus life is good and the infrastructure at Main Campus Bandura is very good. It is a very big university in terms of area. It has all the facilities as you said. It has sports, wifi, a great library, and a lot more.
Fees :
My tuition was around 60000 AUD.
Scholarship :
I got about a 15% scholarship and it was given on the basis of my CGPA at graduation. If you have 7 then you can get 20% and even 25% percent. It largely depends on the university. But that was the case with Latrobe.
Faculty :
Faculty is very good. They are quite professional and connect with the students apart from a few students. I can't really pick a name because none of them really made an impression on me. But they were all good.
Hostel :
I lived with my friends a short distance away from the university. Most students do this because living in a university is quite expensive. The average rent would be 450 AUD per month and it varies slightly depending on the area you choose to live in.
