- BSc in Communication Disorders at the Auburn University is a 4 year, 120-credit program.

- To become nationally certified speech-language pathologists or audiologists, students must earn a graduate degree.
- The Bachelor of Science undergraduate degree also can be used for employment as a speech-language pathology aide in the public schools of some but not all states.

- Students enter the Communication Disorders curriculum after achieving junior standing at AUM. Virtually all core curriculum coursework should be completed so that professional education is not interrupted.
- Students will spend their junior and senior years completing academic coursework in speech-language pathology and audiology and obtaining required clinical training and experience with patients through the Speech and Hearing Center on AUM’s campus.
- Students will complete approximately 60 hours of supervised experience in speech-language therapy and assessment and treatment of patients with hearing disorders.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
Academic Eligibility:
- Students must graduate from a U.S. high school.
- Students must have their foreign transcripts evaluated by an independent credentials evaluator.
- Students are required to maintain at least a 3.0 overall GPA.
Language Requirments:
- Students whose official language is not English are required to submit IELTS or TOEFL scores.
- Students are required to submit an SAT or ACT score to be considered for admission.
International students who currently or will hold a degree from an institution where English is the primary language of instruction, do not need to submit a TOEFL or IELTS score report.
TOEFL, PTE, and IELTS scores are only considered official when they are sent to the Office of Admissions directly from the Educational Testing Service (ETS).
