- Mechanical engineers are also found in almost all manufacturing industries. Increasingly, mechanical engineers are needed in the environmental and bio-medical fields, and many graduates have pursued an education in medicine and law.

- The engineering graphics program is also part of the mechanical engineering department.
- Engineers use technical drawings to communicate and document their ideas.

Eligibility & Entry Requirement
- A Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or related field (Appendix A lists requirements for those with non-ME degrees).
- A grade point average of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- A combined verbal and quantitative GRE requirement of 300 or greater.
